The only thing is if you take a quick payout I think after taxes you will wind up with around $175 Million.... I could still live off of that!

About four times a year I'll buy a ticket. I did on Monday and won $7, spending $4. Big money. Yes, I did reinvest just this once.

That happened to my landscaper last year, all 5 numbers but missed the mega ball. Thank god, because I don't wanna cut my grass!

I'll be playing for sure.

The lottery is an optional tax - waste of time! Chances of winning are so infinitesimally small, it's not worth thinking about.

statistically, your odds of winning are about the same, whether you buy a ticket .....or not!

But your odds of winning are also the same whether the jackpot is 10m or 500m. Of course you go in with the intention of losing your money, but at this level its about getting in on the fun.

:yeahthat

Definitely all in good fun... a boy is allowed to dream... I'd probably die from a heart attack first knowing if I won than getting to enjoy the money first...

Now if I won one of those "beginning" jackpots (ie. 12mil-15mil), that would be nice... super low key... nobody would notice... whoever wins this one is gonna get their face plastered on every piece of media across the nation... and that's when your father's mother's cousin's former roommates come looking for you...

Nah, it would be much higher than $175m, wouldn't it? 25% flat federal tax and then another 6-9% for your state (if your state even has income taxes)...
