So my wife comes down stairs and says " Honey I don't think you should wear your Rolex to fix the the furnace, take it off and give it to me before you get "gunk" all over it"............she's such a smarty pants sometimes but she was right.

Have you guys ever caught yourselves wearing a nice watch at the wrong time?

I've been caught doing the wrong thing at the wrong time, but the watch was merely incidental.

I have OCD so no I'm always careful like a wimp :D Although this one time during college I went on a taco run in east LA (for all you Angelenos you know) and I got robbed by two cholos at gunpoint and luckily I wasn't wearing my nice Tag at that time. So I guess that constitutes as not wearing a watch at the wrong time.

My first Rolex GMT, I did everything wearing it.
Wore it in combat, scuba diving,construction,everything...never ever thought
twice about getting it scratched.
That was then...I would never do that with my GMTII-C.
I'm allot smarter now :D

Yes - I go surf fishing often, when about to cast I noticed it on my wrist. I am sure it would have been fine, but I'm paranoid that when I cast it will go flying off.

:yeahthat

I wore my B01 when painting once (at the beginning, when the watch was new and didn't want to take it off  ), then quickly decided against it when a drop of paint was a near miss.
