All: It appears that I will be traveling to the Middle East on someone else's expense account the spring (honestly). I have not been through Dubai since the first Gulf War, and since I will have some down time away from my responsibilities can anyone recommend hotels, restaurants and shopping areas that they have had experiences with? My (very) limited experience of Dubai revolves around the Madinat Jumeirah hotel, the restaurants contained within its boundaries, and the Dubai Mall. But I'd recommend them wholeheartedly. Some of my business colleagues ventured further down town and from the state they were in the next morning I'd recommend the places they went to too. If only they could remember where they went. |

The Isis hotel is well situated as well. As far as shopping goes, you can't throw a rock without hitting a shopping area. Have fun and drink plenty of water. |
