Anyone else keep getting calls from Jamaica saying you won millions and a car, and asking you to pay anywhere between $500 - $1000 for it?

I keep getting these calls, and I can't block the number because they have multiple numbers. First one said I won $5,000,000 and a Mercedes. I told them I don't want another Mercedes and if I have to pay $1,000 to get the money just send me $4,999,000 instead.

Next guy calls, this time for $2,000,000 and a BMW instead. I told him to send the check via regular mail or I could come in person to pick it up. Then I started to pretend to be angry and say how come the prior person mentioned I received $5,000,000. I asked him if he was a scammer, he got defensive, I had to run so I hung up.

That guy ended up calling back while I was at work on Friday, a total of 6 times according to the caller ID. I decided to have fun with him, called him back at 5 am before going to the gym. I told him I was excited about the prospects when I saw his number, he explained I needed to go to Western Union and send him $500. Decided to call him again Sunday this time at 4:30 am, he didn't answer until I called 3 times - figured would wake up the scammer.

Is there a way to block an entire area code (876 in particular)....for his benefit (I will call every morning before leaving to workout before work at around 5 am), and for my benefit (I really rather not speak to scammers). Thanks

Here in Indonesia, the scam has been upgraded. If you text or call back, as far as the phone company is concerned, you've just bought a service from that number, and will be charged a small amount every month. Most victims won't even notice it!

I once had this call... don't know if it was a potential scam or something...

caller: Who's the owner of this business? (doesn't introduce himself by the way)
Me: I'm sorry I'm not at liberty to say...
caller: Hmm... you know that information is public right?
Me: Well if it's public, then you should be able to find out for yourself...
caller: Oh you're so pathetic, you should be fired... (then hangs up on me)

 :wowzers

It's kinda like when you post something on Craigslist.... then you get all the B/S scams.

"Oh i'll pay you double...bla bla bla" Those stupid f :guns: ers

That is the reason I stopped posting things on craigslist

HAHA I get those once in a while. Only difference is that I just make up a name. Then I always know that if anybody calls asking for that person, its BS.
