Post subject:  iPhone - data miner?

This AM I noticed an email on my iPhone linked to my gmail account. It indicated "no sender" and had "no subject" and "no message." It carried a date of 12/31/10. I checked my gmail on my laptop and it didn't show up there. I could not delete it from my iPhone gmail but the date changed to 12/31/69. Weird. Finally I powered off, restarted, and the email was gone.

So any idea what the heck this was and if I should be concerned at all???? Should I delete the bank apps I have on my iPhone and then re-download them?

I think you are ok, this happened once to me as well, my software engineer bro in law told me that the date is related to a ghost email... I also use an iphone and Gmail. I wouldn't be too worried, mine went away on it's own as well. You are not alone...

After the Blackberry mess, I think I'm not regretting having gotten a Galaxy.

Glad to know it was just a ghost and not "them." Guess I can take the tin foil hat off now.

i switched to galaxy S2 just for this reason... and also others to be honest, lake of memory for apps, too old UI, and 100% sync between android and gmail/google features.
