It's a Peugeot RCZ, certainly gaining popularity in the UK, seen loads on the road.

To me this looks like an Audi TT mixed with a Toyota Mr2 and Honda civic coupe. Damn Shame all the cool cars are in Europe :( ,and what is the emblem supposed to be ? A Bear? A Lion?

Hi Chaps..

Yep it's a Peugeot RCZ. This is a 1.6 THP Turbo with 200Bhp.

Not face off fast but quick enough to please and still gain the attention of the speed cops....

Great build Q ....and gadgets a plenty. And a voice control system that works...

It's almost as pretty as my Breitling Navitimer World.....

Of course it looks like a TT, that was the whole point but it has the French finesse as a bonus. The emblem is, of course, a Lion.

The RCZ was first launched in September 2009 and went on sale in May 2010. So, it is hardly considered as "new" over here but is clearly a niche product. Its most distinct feature is its double-bubble roof by renown Italian designer Zagato. It is considered a commercial success for its category with over 30'000 sold until mid-2011.

After the disastrous sales Peugeot had in the US, they decided to pull out in 1992 (having sold only 4'000 cars in 1991), so no wonder many of you guys across the Atlantic are not familiar with the brand. In Europe, however, it is one of the big 4s (with VW, Renault and Opel), especially after having merged with Citroën. It is now known as PSA Peugeot - Citroën.

As for the engine that can be found under its hood, the same as in the Mini Cooper S, it is a 4-cylinder that was jointly developed by BMW and PSA with the codename Prince. However, most of the engineering was provided by BMW, most notably the Valvetronic variable valve lift system. It is produced in England and in France. It can be found with different horsepower levels in various models of the two firms from the Mini, to the Citroën DS3 or C5, to the Peugeot 207 and 308 and, of course, the RCZ. Up until recently (before trouble struck), it was also destined for the 9-3 Saab models.
