Well I said it before: i live in a really safe suburb. But we got robbed a few months back and today someone broke in again. All the Breitlings are gone. The 1950 Cadette, Chronomat 818, Cal 12 TransOcean, Vintage Sprint, Aerospace and the Skyland. All gone. I was however, wearing the SOSF. They're insured but the 818 and Cal 12 are pretty hard to replace. Family is all fine which is really all that counts. Moth and rust destroy and thieves break in and steal.

That is HORRIBLE! I am so sorry to hear that, from your posts you seem like a really nice guy too.

Time to buy a dog??? I have a Rottweiler and German Shepherd mix, wouldn't recommend him around kids as a puppy, but now, I definitely would - EXTREMELY loyal, but with strangers.....the game would be over before it started.

Curious, were only the watches stolen? Wondering if they knew what they were going after.

Greg, this is unbelievable, so sorry to hear this !

The vintage pieces are not so easy to replace, but I´ll be happy to help in the search. Will also keep my eyes open for any of your watches on the bay, hopefully the thieves will be stupid enough to list them sooner or later. Might be a good idea to post a complete collection list with pics and serial numbers ?

That really sucks.

For having been the victim of a robbery in the past, I perfectly understand your pain. After ALL my wife's jewelry was gone, I installed an alarm. They tried to break-in 5 times since then but the alarm kept them out. :nana:

Maybe it's something you should consider.

Thanks guys,
I guess my "What are you wearing today?" posts will have a certain sameness about them for a while!

Jeez, what a nightmare for you mate! Really sorry to hear about it, but as you say at least your family are all OK. "Stuff" can always be replaced, people can't. Hope the police catch the b'stards!

Just a thought - may not be too wise to post serial numbers, if they google the serial number then they will not include the number in the posting if they decide to sell it on ebay - do you have photos with the serial numbers instead?
