I've been wearing the watch for the last 3 days. It still looks big when I look down and see it on my arm but when I catch a glimpse in the mirror the size looks fine. I have only gotten 1 compliment from it and it was from my office manager ( a woman). I thought men would be the first to notice.

We are skipping out of work a little early tomorrow to go shopping for another. As some of you know, I have my heart set on a specific Starliner but I just can't convince myself to pay what the AD is asking. I plan to haggle and play lets make a deal to see if I can't get them down to an appropriate price. If they don't meet my demands I will throw a full out toddler like temper tantrum in the middle of the store and see how far that gets me...

Also going to see in person some of the models that other community members have suggested- Galactic 30,32, and 36 and maybe the lady cockpit. It's so difficult to judge these things just by pictures in catalogs and online.

I'm also trying to talk Jeremy in to the Superocean heritage chronographe with the woven steel bracelet for himself. Could be a good day!

If you have any other suggestions, please please let me know!

We had a professional photographer who took 'arty' shots with models and we asked him to focus more on the watch because this is a watch forum. My 'suggestion' as a moderator is that you do the same thing please.

edit - picture removed.

Yes, I agree that this is a watch forum and the focus should be on the watch. The whole point of owning these items is to compliment you. My post is clearly talking about my concern for the size of the watch on me and asking for opinions should be something that is welcomed in this forum. How can anyone help in my battle of whether the watch is too big or not if you can't see it on ME. A wrist shot will not cut it. Maybe next time I'll wear a turtleneck and jeans ;)

Just out of curiosity- would this be the 'arty' photos you were speaking of?
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28832&hilit=big+pilot+hot+babe

The girl is in her underwear for goodness sake (although very beautiful- her and the watch). The picture you removed of me was taken today at my store in my everyday attire. It's over 100 degrees outside. When is a tank top and shorts inappropriate enough to be removed when the Victoria Secret type shots are still up and running?

Very well. The point of my post is to get others' opinions about the size of this watch on me. Is it proportionate, etc... so here's one that shouldn't offend anyone.

Well first off...I think the size is perfect for your wrist.

Secondly....nice jab at the Mod and a very good sense of humor. Obviously it us not your choice that posters may comment on other aspects of a photo and your reply is an instant classic in my eyes. Stick around for a bit. It is a fun place

Sure thing. Make me a sweet deal on a black dial diamond marker diamond bezel piece and the pic is on the way...

LOL. I will send it. It is not bad at all.

BTW,

I agree. A wrist shot from a few inches away doesn't portray how a watch will look on a person. It's basically equivalent to taking a photo of a watch on a display stand. I love seeing watch on the wrist from a few feet away and that's how I post mynwrist shots.

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=32461 Here's a thread with one of my wrist shots from far away.

I'd rather the first pic than the French Muslim Winter attire.... but in any event the watch rocks! :lingsrock:

LMAO. :yeahthat

We got a kick out of taking the pic. Surely you can see the laughing behind the scarf. Thanks for the opinion- I am liking the watch more and more... until I get another one...

I'd be interested in seeing the offending pic. I'm kind of surprised the others are still posted IMO. Based on what I've seen the watch fits you well and you apparently have good taste (plus a sense of humor).
