BMW leads Audi in sales in the US and worldwide, with Mercedes a distant third. Lexus sales suffer in the US from the Japan disaster.

Couple of notes:

The new MB C-Class looks like a significant upgrade in critical areas like quality and design of materials for the interior. They'll get a bump when that's released.

I firmly believe that the new car free maintenence program and the used CPO program are huge pieces in the sales strength of BMW, at least in the U.S. It brings people in and keeps them coming back, and it broadens the appeal and reputation of the brand. That, and of course, they're great driving cars.
