I'm new to the forum and have only been a Breitling owner for three months but I'm going to Fairford and wondered if any of you guys would be there - especially in the Bretling tent?

It would be really good to put a face to a (um?) user name!

Cheers,

Renny

Cool!

I'll be there on Saturday too. I know a few of the Duxford 10 bunch might be along too.

Now, what watch to wear to gain entry this year?

See you there guys!

Davey

Sadly, not a great show and not just because of the torrential rain - I arrived at 07:00 and didn't get out of the car for 4 hours as it was absolutely hammering it down :( . Interesting participants were few and far between and remained on the static park. When flying did get going, it was the usual suspects and whilst their performances were excellent, it was nothing you've not seen many times before. I think next year I may give the show a miss and go down on the Friday for the arrivals/practice flights.

Anyway, it was good to see Steve (happy_chapie) again and here's a few pics of some of the more interesting birds starting with the Breitling Wingwalkers' aircraft with Andrew Michaels' enclosure in the background.

BAe Systems Mantis UAV (presumably a mockup) tucked away in the VIP enclosure, out of sight from public view but right opposite the Breitling enclosure! :D

We left the show early and went over to Kemble where amongst the old airframes waiting to be scrapped, we came across these nice old Hunters and a Britannia.

Thanks for the update Sharkie. First "live" pic of the 295AEW as far as I'm concerned.

If it's a consolation, the weather conditions you've experienced are the same all the way down to northern Italy. Talking about summer.

My daughter took this picture of the Frecce Tricolori at Fairford yesterday. The weather improved after Sharky left and the sun even came out for a little while ! Thanks to Andrew Michaels and Breitling for a great day, made better by a purchase of a brand new Chronomatic at a very nice price !!!

That is a shame it was spoilt by the weather.

That Frecce smoke has always been unbeatable.

What a feeling when you try to breath through it when they take off. 8)
