I just sold something on eBay auction (original value of item is £200).

I'm based in the UK and the winning bidder is from Canada and I believe his Paypal registered address is in Canada as this was the address I got with the "your item has sold" email.

I sent him an invoice for the item with the appropriate shipping charge to Canada.
But it hasn't been paid for yet and I just received a message from the buyer asking me to send the item to an address in London (I'm assuming to avoid the higher shipping cost) and to amend the invoice accordingly.

What should I do?
The buyer has 17 +ve feedbacks, all from being a buyer.
But I'm not sure because the item I'm selling is quite a high value item and I read that to be covered by Paypal seller protection you must send to PP registered

hey mate how are you , well lets get to it once you ship outside of there paypal address, you no longer have protection from paypal ......

im not sure what your payment terms are either paypal or bank deposit pay pal has rules to protect you and the buyer i would not waver from that ...

if its direct depo you can send any where ....

now what would i do , shipping to another address will require direct dep i would shipp with tracking and insurance no exceptions .... if it sounds odd insist on paypal and shipp as the paypal rules allow ......
good luck :popo:
Jeff

I can see why someone would want to do that - trying to avoid import duty / taxes as well, but I'm with Jayman. You'll have no PayPal protection if you ship to a non confirmed address so get the money directly first.
