I actually still like lebron, I mean who really wants to live in Cleveland anyway, but I'm glad for Dirk and j Kidd, they deserved a championship. Lebron will have plenty of more opportunities to win one but the was probably the last chance for the mavs.

They interviewed some "basketball fans" in Toronto on the radio this morning (they did well to find them both) and the comments were hilarious - how it was "poetic justice for Bosh's betrayal" etc.

I'm always pleased for the underdog, but sweeter this time because of the obvious arrogance with which the dream team was put together - shame that the vastly inflated salaries demanded by their vastly inflated egos didn't leave enough money for a bench.

Lebron is a piece of GARBAGE in my eyes, The city of Cleveland did everything but give him the keys to the city to make him stay , they even built him a 22 million dollar practice facility 5 mins from his home so he didn't have to drive to far. I have no problem with Lebron leaving ,and going elsewhere, but when he strung all of Cleveland along to go on CIRCUS TV to make his announcement. That was a DI#K move in my eyes ,and hope he never wins another game. Who wants to live in Cleveland, I would like to live there for a 200 million dollar contract. Lebron will find out 3 is a crowd on the Heat ,and someone will have to go, you cant have 3 players on a team that all average 20 to 25 pts a game. Lebron sucks in the clutch, and to even speak his name next to Jordan is an insult. Sorry for Ranting but I hate Lebum James

:yeahthat

I couldnt have said it better. He had the option to leave, and choosing to do so was perfectly fine... but to spit in the face of the people who supported you the most is unforgivable. The guy has no class, and I hope the rest of his career is even more of a bust than its already been.

I was watching ESPN this morning and they were replaying all of lebrons stunts like the "Decision," that ridiculous concert/fireworks spectacle, the endless supply of boneheaded comments... Its like everybody is in on the joke but him. Reminds me of the Kanye West episode of South Park, if youve seen it.

As stupid as the "Decision" and the weird grand unveiling of the big three, which is a really gay name, were I really don't get all the hate towards the dude. He has made some really stupid comments lately, and the one yesterday after they lost made me lose a lot of respect for him, but the thing about him is that he's been told that he's the best forever, he was on the cover of SI when he was in High School for Christ's sake. He was a superstar before he ever played a minute of pro ball and had a ridiculous sponsorship deal with Nike before he got drafted. After all of that we all get upset because he doesn't show humility and act humble? What did anyone really expect after turning him into a reality show. I'm not saying I agree with the stuff he's done, other than leaving Cleveland, I mean they had 7 years to get him some help other than Ilgauskus(?) and Mo Williams and they never did. For people who say that the Cavs gave him so much just remember that any other team would have paid him just as much. What he did is make Cleveland basketball relevant again, when was the last time that was the case.

And he doesn't suck, I don't get people who say that. I wish I sucked at something as much as he does at basketball. Against Boston and Chicago he was a killer, does anyone remember those series? I don't know what happened in the Finals, I do know that Miami had absolutely no half court offense. On the break they're unstoppable but put them in some kind of set offense and no one did anything. Great players, which he is, don't win championships, great teams do and the Heat we not a great team, they just had 2 great players that didn't know what to do with each other.

In the end I'm glad the Mavs won, Dirk and J Kidd deserved it...and I'm a Knicks fan anyway. I just hope Chris Paul comes to New york with Melo and Amare.

I wont argue why he is or isnt a certain way, since I know that we love to build people up and watch them tumble. But the fact is that the guy is completely clueless. Every time the guy opens his mouth, he just makes himself look like more and more of a douche bag. All the great superstars, including Kobe, MJ, Magic have had been under the microscope and have had their share of scrutiny, but theyve managed to convince us to give them another shot. Lebron just seems to keep making people hate him more and more. As much as we love to watch these guys fail, we also love to give them a second shot. Nobody wants to give lebron a second shot because he perpetually rubs people the wrong way.

I dont blame the guy for wanting to leave Cleveland. After my first 100 mil id want to split as well. Cleveland sports has been a joke for as long as I can remember (with the exception of the Indians this year). Those fans loved him in a way that most players will never experience. We love Kobe in LA, but we dont love him the way they loved Lebron. The Cleveland journalist on ESPN today said something along the lines of "we're over the fact that he exercised his option to leave the city, but we're not over the way he dragged us through the mud on his way out." Just look at his most recent comments. Journalist: "Did you choke?" [lebron looks at wade as if lebrons poor play is of no significance]. saying that we're all going to go back to our lives and deal with all of our problems while he does what he wants and lives his life. Tweeting that God didnt have a championship in the cards for him this year (whether or not you believe in God, im sure we can all agree that he probably doesnt give a damn if Lebron wins a title.) Own up to it. How about "we lost because I played like shit."? Yes, people are extremely hard on the guy, but he brought all of this on himself, and doesnt seem to show any remorse or any sign of changing his d-bag attitude.

I usually agree with 99% of what you write, Justin, but not here. Justifying his behavior and attitude by what got him here is the same enabling stuff as what got him here. At some point whether someone wasn’t breast feed, toilet trained properly, or was given too many accolades as a teenager becomes irrelevant. At some point you have to say, “He’s an adult! He’s totally responsible for his own mistakes.”

OK off my ……….. :soapbox:

AS a Mavs fan for life I am obviously very pleased the Mavs finally pulled this off. It is so much sweeter when the championship involves some heartbreaking years.

people keep mentioning the class act Jason Kidd....word on the block is dude beats on his wife. Funny how this guy is sooooo much less hated than Lebron. Just an observation.
Go Mavs

His comments after the game were UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I guess anyone who doesn't have his life is miserable . I saw Lebum play in High School , and he was a Man amongst boys , I mean he was on the cover of the Si at the age of 17 . We as fans pumped him up to the arrogant ass he is today. Lebum was a humble guy in Cleveland , but once he got a taste of MYRTLE BEACH, I mean SOUTH BEACH he turned into the most hated guy in sports next to Tiger. I cant deny Lebum is a helluva basketball player , but he lacks all the things Mj,Kobe have Killer Instict, and wanting to take the last shot when the game is on the line. Dwayne Wade goes out with the bum hip ,and Lebum doesn't take over. Lebum will win a title eventually , but right now he is Scottie Pippen from the 88 bulls.
