So I'm at Starbucks in line and the guy in front of me goes to pay for his order with his iPhone, literally put his screen to the scanner. Anyone know what "app" this? And is it safe? And accepted at most retailers?? |

Not sure if it was really an iPhone but there is something called Near Field Communication (NFC) on some of the newer android phones. More about it here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near_field_communication |

Sounds like this to me. It's not really integrated with a proper bank account like the NFC stuff, so I'd say it's safe enough. |
