I am looking to purchase an iPad 2 for the old lady and I was wondering if there are any tips, websites, or forums for deal hunters. Obviously as a gift I am looking for NIB, so Best Buy or Amazon might be my best option, but with all of the wheeling and dealing done by the members of this sight I figure someone has some insight to give. |

Apple stuff is really tough to find any deals on, and when you do its only a few bucks off. I think your best bet is just to save the tax by buying online from a reputable source. Of course, you can always roll the dice with ebay. |

I've used tigerdirect a couple of times and I've been happy with them. I'm not sure how much better their prices are and what lkind of Apple stuff they carry though. |

If you get really, really lucky, youll win an item for cheap. The other 99% of the time, you and every other bidder (except the winner) will lose money. You basically are buying credits for real money and using them to bid. Every bid costs you and everybody else money, which you dont get back. So the company selling the item ends up with a ton of money from all of the losing bids, and one bidder ends up with a "subsidized" item. |
