Need to buy something kinda decent maybe roundabout the £200 mark. Not too fussed whether it would be coals or gas. Any ideas, good/bad experiences?

Cheers

Think my uncle has replaced his weber once in 20 years still works perfectly and no rust.

Exactly what I was gonna say.

I bought a Weber Genesis like 6 months ago. Good machine. Problem is that we're really hard on our grills. Use it multiple times per week, never clean it, never cover it etc. So really, no matter which brand I buy they dont seem to last as long as they should.

Thanks for the comments guyz!

I've decided to go for coals only just so as it's easier for the other half to work when I'm away :D I think the gas may be too complicated.

The Weber's look great and decently priced although the particular model Alex mentioned has no rest for plates etc which could be a pain in the backside. The one that does however costs nearly £340 which seems a bit too steep.

Roff, I don't see a price for your bad boy but can imagine. You could cook a cows leg on that thing too by the look of it!

Cheers

Andrew by rest plate do mean somewhere to put meat that's cooked just needing keeping warmer if weber do about 1 billion accessories and I'm sure I've seen these

Not really to keep food warm, I've seen those too. More to put a plate of un-cooked meat to the side ready to use and then somewhere to put it when its cooked. I only have one pair of hands!

I use this one Andie and it is really handy:

It can also be adapted to various models. You can also use it to hang tools as well.

Thats the cheapest I can find.

How is it I've gone from not really wanting to spend anymore than a couple of hundred pound to spending over 3 hundred quid??

Alex, I blame you!

Its the same sickness that makes you buy expensive watches. I think most of us a tech weirdos that need to make sure we get the good stuff. I hate buying junk.

If you wanted to keep it under your 200 mark, youd probably have to go with that basic style round red or black grill with some trays on the sides. But that just wouldnt be any fun :D
