Someone posted here asking about the M8, seems like the post was deleted. I did not want to reply untill I actually saw the camera. Got a chance to travel to the store and check it out.

The camera feels amazing, unbelievable old world build quality, great ergonomics, ingenious button placement and absolutely fantastic lens assortment.

That said, I could never justify buying one, for the following reasons:

The Nikon D300 is more camera for far less.

Price of body alone is about 5K USD. Lens cost from 1500-3000.

Last generation technology and with the rapid advancements in technology would probably be out done again by summer.

For the price of the body I would get a D300, 18-200MM VR, 105MM VR Micro, and a Tamron 12-24MM and still have enough cash for a nice entry level Breitling!!!

I would go for the Nikon D3 & 70-200VR 2.8...awesome combo
