Post subject:  WTF movers

So this past weekend I was moving apartments, which sucks by definition. Anyways, Saturday, Sunday and today I've been moving boxes, tables, my clothes, etc. Since I move very often, everything is planned and I am ok with this and I found a moving company to only move the big pieces like my coach and king size bed. I had scheduled for the movers to come by this afternoon. Well, they didn't show up :guns: :guns: :guns: I mean honestly, WTF who does that??? :idontgetit:

So now I have to crash at my old place, thank god I have my laptop and internet is still running. Then tomorrow I have to get up and drive to my new place to shower and get dressed to go to work lol...oh yeah, and find another moving company to move my coach and bed...

Good times, actually, I just laugh...can't get upset with all this s***!

Make sure you don't lose your watch boxes and paperwork, all the eBay sellers seem to.

I just ran in to a similar situation. I was moving from Minneapolis to So Cal. The movers were scheduled to arrive on Sunday. Sunday came and went no movers. I called them on Monday to find out what the deal is. They finally return my call on Tuesday night to tell me they will have to cancel. :guns:
I found a new mover and five days later they came to pick up. I have been living on an air mattress and out of a suit case for two weeks now.

I feel your pain, the situation sucks!

Thanks for the comments guys, I found another company that charged me twice the price but got the job done immediately. I personally moved all my valuables including my watches and paperwork...movers only had to deal with my bigger furniture. Anyways, I got an email from them explaining they didn't have a truck for that afternoon, that's why they didn't show up. Given how busy I am right now I don't have the time or nerves to deal with them so I just answered stating that a phone call explaining the situation would have been timely and much apprecaited. F**k 'em!

Move is done and now I can't wait to get internet hooked up tomorrow so I can check the forum more regularly

My situation is still underway. Most of my stuff is now in my apt. I am missing all the hardware to my bed, box of dishes, and my sanity. I will never move again.

A thought and 2 questions -

1. Pay your rent on time.

2. Can't you just hitch up the horses to move your "coach?"

3.Why would you hire a company called "WTF Movers?"

Sorry, feeling especially sarcastic today.

:uplaugh: S**t I knew someone would catch that. Well, how do I answer, how about this:

Wonderful Transition Facilitators Moving Company, through the use of a legally binding document (pinky swear) promised me they would take care of everything, including my 17th century cariage. As for the rent, my local friendly subprime mortgage broker told me I could afford it no worries on my proletariat part-time minimum wage salary. Totally normal, lots of us like this out there.
