Unlikely, as I have no real use for any of the upgrades. I neither need nor want a camera, for example.

I would prefer that Apple devote their energy to fixing the stupid operating system. My ipad worked perfectly until the operating system was updated late last year. Now it can't hold onto a wireless network for more than a few minutes.

I wouldnt mind one but its kind of expensive since I dont have much use for it other than reading books. I bought a Kindle for that.

The kindle is such a great device for reading books. The E-Ink screen is stellar.

It's really iPad 1.5. Rumor is they're have a new one at the end of the year. Plus the Xoom is pretty sweet. I'll stick with the iPad 1 for now.

That really would not surprise me at all.

Can't say I give a toss about cameras, but lighter and faster would make me consider it... I'm lazy and like to leave my apps open, so sometimes I find I have lag issues...

My mother has had my original iPad 'on loan' for over a month now, and she loves it so much I feel bad asking for it back! That said, I really only use it much when I'm on hols, so I don't miss it as much as I thought I would. The thought of going away on a trip without it is very unappealing, though-- I love that I can chuck a ton of books and films on it and not have to worry about being entertained when we're going somewhere, as well as having built-in internet.

Was considering an iPad 2 so we could both have one, but I might wait to see if rumours surface of one with improved screen resolution, which is one of the most amazing things about the iPhone 4.

The biggest issue with iPad 1 is RAM. iPad two is rumored to have 2x the RAM but we won't know until they're out and someone does a teardown.

Nope, but we just got an iPad, the original, so I'm still pretty happy with it. The only thing I'd like is an sd card slot, but I don't need a camera on my iPad, that's what I have a camera for...and a phone.

Despite playing with an iPad on many occasions (and not being able to live without my iPhone!), I still can't remotely see any reason why I would need an iPad, 1 or 2. To me it's just a big iPhone..... with no phone. Both my laptop and my desktop are easier for surfing the net IMO, I like my books to be made of paper, and I rarely use public transport so the abilty to watch movies on the move is neither here nor there for me.

I've said it before, but for me the iPad is a solution to a problem I haven't got.

I felt the exact same way and if my wife didn't want one I never would have gotten one. It is pretty cool for surfing the internet though, granted my laptop can do more, but sometimes the iPad is just more convenient. It is a pretty unnecessary contraption though.
