Just curious what other people invest their time and money in other than B's. For me it would have to be JSA.

Over the years, just as with watches, you start on the bottom end and work your way up learning as you go, building experience. I have been a JSA practitioner for over a decade now and have accumulated a humble collection of weapons. All of the swords are custom made to very specific specs.
This is my personal collection, so incase anyone is wondering, none are for sale. If you are a fan of sharp and pointies, please take a look and sign my guestbook tellin me what you think.

What does JSA stand for? I'm guessing the JS is Japanese Swords.

Whisky I guess. And, with European standards, American football. (for an American I'd probably be below standard... :) )

Hmm, well very varied interests, but time is a rather limiting factor. I spend about 28 hours a week commuting, and running my own business isn't exactly a 9 - 5 job either. As I have mentioned before I run a sled dog team in recreational races and as we have quite a lot of trails on our 90 acre property that takes quite a lot of management in the summer and chainsaws and tractors can chew up a lot of money!

When I do find some time I have a woodshop in my basement and make simple furniture. My wife and I also collect a lot of Canadian, western and inuit art - mostly sculpture. Of course having a wife is an expense in itself and my wife spins and weaves so money also goes into spinning wheels and looms as well as the unbelievable number of accessories for them.

Boxing. Trail running. Beer (not exactly consistent with the other two, but I do invest time and money in it).

Weird, I know - but I can't seem to shake either.

Ocean swimming and Bonsai. Where i live we can swim 9-10 months of the year without a wetsuit. We see things like sea turtles, dolphins, the occasional whale, sting rays etc. The Bonsai is brilliant because, apart from pots, it costs practically nothing. I grow my trees from scratch.

I forgot about beer! I'm a nut about beer - spend a lot of time hunting down the latest offerings from all sorts of local breweries.

I'm mostly into Belgians and frequent a few places in the city to wet my whistle...

Hobbies are my guitars, love them dearly and have played for nearly 20 of my 30 years.
Other interests include tattoos, drawing, painting and of course socialising when time permits.
