The Breitling Watch Source Forums

Hi,

based on my on browsing trends I find myself more and more often surfing the web from my sofa using my iPad or on the road using my iPhone. While I love the "freedom" I must admit that the forum browsing would be a much more streamlined and efficient if you added support for either (preferably both) Tapatalk or Forum Runner (I like this one better since it has native iPad support).

They are both extremely easy to implement and there should be nothing but benefits with these additions.
Many large communities already have these in use (i.e., watchuseek).

You would make many iOS and Android users very happy. And also making the community even more active when people can post more easily.

I let admin know and he's going to look into it.

Am working on this. Tapatalk's website signup breaks when you sign up with a 500 internal server error so I'm not sure what's up there, and right now Forum Runner's manual installation process requires me to modify several PHPBB files which I don't like to do since it makes updating the forum software more complicated because of conflicts. It does tell me to use Automod, which is a mod that allows me to install more mods, which I will look at doing. Either way.. this is in the process of happening, but I like to read through everything before I install stuff.

I think Forum Runner is added, but since I don't have an iPhone, I couldn't tell you if it works or not.

Haven't tried it yet, but when I opened up on my iPhone just now, a message popped up that the site now supports forum runner.

Working on Tapatalk now. Those fellows got back to me and activated my account. Since this one seems to work on other types of phones as well maybe I can use this one!

Tapatalk's site is the buggiest professional site I have been to in a long time... and making me question whether I should install it. I can't even download the plug-in because the file doesn't exist on the server now. Login errors and account creation errors combined with missing file = problems later. I'll see how they respond, but might hold back on installing tapatalk for the time being.

I must say I'm rather surprised to hear about your experiences with them. I've heard nothing but good from these guys, and considering that they have a lot of big forums as their customers, it sounds a bit strange. A temporary glitch perhaps?
Have you heard back from them?

Tapatalk has not been installed yet. They sent me the file after I emailed them and have just not gotten around to going back to the site to see the installation instructions but I will.
