Is it just me, or is this car like some mutant offspring of the Z3-series M coupe and the (butt ugly) Panamera?

Its not just you. Every time I see a Panamera on the street I cringe. And I really dont get this Ferrari. Is there even a market for it? Seriously, who exactly is the demographic? The guy who always wanted a Ferrari but thought that they werent homely looking enough?

+2, it's not just you.

This is not as ugly as the Panamera IMO, but it's not what a Ferrari should be.

I actually really like the Panemera, and I kinda like this Ferrari too...kinda, but considering I'm never gonna have enough money to own one my opinion really doesn't matter. It's like me bitching about the design of a Patek.

Yeah, they're all a little too girly, if you ask me

I hate the Panemera, but I actually don't mind this FF. Obviously it's not like the typical mid-engined beasts that Ferrari are mostly famous for these days, but I certainly don't hate it.

I think it's beautiful, but it's definitely a departure from more traditional Ferrari styling (and form!), so I can see why a purist might dislike it.

As Roman said, though, my opinion doesn't mean squat: 1) I can't afford it, and 2) I think the Nissan Juke looks terrific.

That holds for me as well! (Notice I strategically missed off the second bit of your quote though! :poke:  )

Of course you like it, especially compared to your new "tractor", right? :nana:

But the questions I have are:

1. If you were in the market for a Ferrari, would there be any chance that you would consider this model over one of the others?

2. If you were not in the market for a Ferrari, would this model lead you to consider the brand?

I cant imagine anybody answering yes to either of those questions, which is why I think its a stupid car.

If I wanted a four wheel drive and/or a four seat Ferrari, then yes it would answer yes to those questions to be honest. I can easily imagine people who would like the idea of owning a Ferrari but just need more than 2 seats. And in terms of the styling I can honestly say that I don't dislike it at all. I can also well imagine "serial Ferrari buyers" (Mr Conte here perhaps? :D ) buying one as a second Ferrari. But as I say, I actually like it anyway..... but then I liked the old "bread-wagon" Z3M coupe for some reason too!

I get this - it's a GT car rather than a true sports car - would you buy this over a top spec 911 4wd, probably not, but as a practical performance 2+2 (not sure that I would want to spend too long in the back), I get it. That said, I used to own a Jaguar XJS, which was a simialr concept - performance GT rather than sports car.
