Hi chaps, I'm looking to purchase the above but not sure what would be good!

I'm looking to spend £100 -£120 nothing to fancy as it will just be for taking fun pictures now and again rather than carrying around the DSLR!

I'm obviously looking for the best possible value for money now with the January sales so anyone here be bothered to have a hunt for me as I don't have a clue!

Cheers

I'm a big fan of the Lumix range, I picked up one with a 7x zoom last time I was in Japan. Great camera, seems to handle a variety of different light conditions very well, which was a big problem with its predecessor (a Canon Ixus).

:yeahthat

Couldn't agree more - and the higher spec model you go for, the better.

I'm an FZ38 fan (a little over the OP's budget, and a bit on the large side, but a fantastic camera).

For my quick, no messing about shots, and with good macro results for the close up watch shots, you can't beat the Sony Cyber Shot DSC-S730, which you can still buy new for about £45-£50.
