Ive had some fun with the 'top' threads recently; movies, tv shows, etc. Now show your favorite musician.

My favorite is hands down Bon Jovi...you can tell where I'm from.

Followed closely by Eminem and Linkin Park.

My favorite song....Frank Sinatra - New York New York!

I'm a huge fan of several different music genres. Firstly rock, there's nothing better than rock music - Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Bon Jovi and Nirvana are all favourites. Also a huge fan of the Offspring and Sum 41 - more punk rock there. On the heavier side I'm a big fan of Metallica. I also love Muse, which I would classify as more alternative. Plenty more I didn't mention also.

Great thread Sergio!

The music I listen to today is pretty much the same music I listened to as a kid growing up, only the genre has changed from Rock to Classic Rock...WTF is up with that anyhow? However as I've gotten older I've also come to enjoy other types of music and none have moved me like the " Blues Rock" of today's era.

Blues Rock
Joe Bonamassa
Eric Clapton
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Albert Cunningham
Albert Costiglia

(Classic) Rock
Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Boston, Foghat, The Eagles, Steppinwolf, and to many others to list, but they are all my favorites in this category.

Heavy Metal
Has to be Ozzy (Black Sabbath/Post Black Sabbath)
Metallica

Male Solo Artist
Michael Buble

Female Solo Artist
Norah Jones
Sarah McLachlan

Celtic Music
Loreena McKennitt

Jazz
Spyrogrya
Neal Schon

Country Rock
Big n Rich
Trace Atkins

No idea where to class this unique group
The Blue Man Group (If you've not seen them or heard them, do a Google Search, they are awesome and their story is very unique as is their sound/show)

This is even harder than the "favorite movie" thread. I can't really pick one artist/band, but some of my favorites are The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Slayer, Sabbath, Guns n Roses, and Pantera. Any of these could be at the top of my playlist any given day, but if I had to choose one artist it would have to be Eric Clapton, anything that he's ever been involved in I absolutely love.

Well, except for Greek music, of which I will not mention any artist, as they are unknown to most of you,

I love Country music, so it is George Strait, Alan Jackson, Reba, George Jones, Johnny Cash

but also Kenny G, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole

I also love Frank Sinatra.

@ Sergio...you should be ashamed of yourself for not listing "The Boss".

There is no way that I can limit this to one band.

We briefly discussed a few months ago that I am a metal fan and like all of the big names and a bunch that you wouldn't have heard of.

British metal from Budgie all the way through the NWOBHM movement of Iron Maiden, Saxon, Samson, Raven, Cinderella and the lesser known bands like Tygers of Pan Tang, Angel Witch, Witchfynde, Witchfinder General et al. Of course that also encompasses Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow, etc

I also like the big three of thrash metal - Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth. Other metal bands / artists that have a heavy (pardon the pun) presence in my collection are Ozzy Osbourne, Scorpions, Bruce Dickinson, Halford, Anthrax, Accept, Dio (RIP Ronnie James), Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Anvil, Dragonforce, Cauldron, Def Leppard, Queensryche, Skid Row, Faith No More, Exhorder, Motorhead, Extreme, Venom, Pantera - you get the idea.

I even have a bit of a thing for hair metal so plenty of Ratt, Warrant, Motley Crue, Poison, Faster Pussycat, Great White, Guns and Roses and Twisted Sister.

Outside of metal my tastes are still mainly rock related - AC/DC, Rush, Kiss, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top, Rolling Stones, Queen, Aerosmith, U2.

My iPod has plenty of other artists as well, but those are the ones that get the most play time - as you can probably tell I am a bit of a music freak.

The Stones for me as well. Here's me in my element playing Jumpin' Jack Flash :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxKaYWMuuqI

After that, there's dozens from AC/DC to ZZTop.

I'm a huge fan of rock, classic rock (60's-70's), reggae, R&B, Blues, and a little rap.

I cannot stand country music. Old school country like (Johnny Cash, etc) is okay, but too many of today's "country" artists are wanna be rock stars.

Pretty much all of Roff's choices do it for me, with a few additions like Rory Gallagher, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Bob Dylan, Magnum, Rush, Whitesnake, Black stone Cherry, Dire Straits, Gary Moore, Black Country Communion and the best band you've never heard of, Birminghams finest, Jameson Raid. I am going to see the Tygers of Pan Tang next week supporting Micky Moody & Neil Murray's new band. Should be a great night :strummin:
