What will Ebay and Paypal charge me when selling an item for £2600! I've never sold anything of Ebay just bought so I can't find this info. Cheers |

Not sure what ebay will charge, but paypal will take about 3% from you. |

Ebay uk will rob you of 10% of the final value up to a maximum of £40.00. Paypal is 2.9 % + £0.20 http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/fees.html#Auction |

One more question, ![]() Cheers Andrew From my experience PP hold the money for 21days to ensure the buyer is happy with the item, seems unfair but great if you are the buyer. I feel its a bit unfair on the seller because it leaves it wide out for the buyer to change their mind for what ever reason. I had it happen me once. If the buyer leaves positive feedback on eBay I think the money is released. Don't know if I was buying any thing and had to wait 21 days before it was even posted I would not be happy and I probably would not go for it even if I was informed of it. If you do make sure you inform the buyer and they are happy with the arrangement. GLWS Breanach78 ![]() |

I used to do that on big ticket items, I hate paypal though |

Cheers for the info guyz! I've spoken personally with the buyer and told them on the phone and by e-mail that I will not send the watch until the money is in my account. I didn't realise Paypal holds your money for 21 days ![]() The guy seems genuine enough over the phone and he's also got 100% feedback on around 150 items so no alarm bells ringing. He's also sold/selling 3 genuine Breitlings on Ebay. Cheers Andrew |

It usually takes 2-3 days for the money to transfer to my bank account. Im not sure if it makes a difference though. Cant paypal just debit your bank account since its linked to your paypal account? |

I don't think that they can directly grab money from your bank account without your permission (short of legal order). |
