Following Ron's beautiful F-4 shot, here's another mighty USAF jet with a statement to make :D

The Buffalo.

Most B-52's are stationed at Barksdale AFB in Louisianna.

Funny to watch take off as they tend to have a node down attitude on lift off. They don't rotate like other aircraft.

This is just a publicity shot by Boeing but Vietnam era buffs carried over 100 x 500lb bombs which you see them releasing in old news clips.

My young son is an AF Capt., an A/C Commander & Instructor on the BUFF down in Shreveport. He'll be leaving on his 4th tour soon, this time to Guam instead of the Middle East. He was over Bagdhad on "opening night", and said it was a real zoo. More concerns about running into someone on the way out than the anti-aircraft fire.
