Now I know this has been discussed in bits and pieces throughout, however, if possible could we get a list of the major watch magazines together here and the differences in them? I would really like all opinions as I will be adding a subscription. Thanks guys!

First and only watch subscription I ever had. I mostly poke around online these day. My girlfriend at the time got me this subscription. From what I can recall, it was a good magazine - very thick and laden with tidbits that any WIS would die for.

Just curious Roff what makes IW your favorite? Obviously IW and watchtime were most likely the two I was going to decide from? Just curious as to the differences of the two, likes/dislikes.

Well for a start it's monthly so covers more than WatchTime which is only six issues a year, and I just prefer the way that it's presented, the things covered, etc.

I prefer Watch Time. The few IW mags I've read seem to be geared to more advanced watch lovers. I enjoy watch time much more because their reviews and articles are more geared to my watch knowledge level....which is pretty low. If you want to learn about high end complications and unique watches then IW will definitely be up your alley.

PX: Military Store. In the U.S. Navy, we called them The Exchange. Other military types (U.S. Army and Air Force) call them the PX (Post Exchange, if addled memory serves...). Not just for uniforms, but food, civilian clothes, etc. In the old days, when bases were isolated or transportation into a town or city was by public bus, etc., the PX/Exchange was a place to spend money and get away from "duty" for a few minutes.

I spent 8 years in the Navy and I called it a NEX when I first got to Iraq and people looked at me like I had 2 heads.

Gym PX stands for Post Exchange, I think the Air Force actually calls it a BX, Base Exchange and I have to idea what the Marines call it, I think they just at the building and take their shit.
