I hope all of our mates over in the U.K. doing alright. I don't normally associate earthquakes with that part of the world. I hope you all are doing well.

wasn't a big one, as far as I know.

But still, all Rolex watches have to be newly regulated...

A few stiff upper lips quivered slightly, and someone in Lincolnshire actually raised an eyebrow. Other than that, a few loose bricks fell and hurt someones leg.

Kind of unusual for an earthquake across the pond. Seems like the only ones I hear about are in Japan and California.

Aparently, folks in Yorkshire were pretty upset that Lincolnshire got it before they did.

I'm in Manchester and had just gone to sleep so awoke to hear a radiator rattling for about 10 seconds with increasing loudness then the whole house wobbled like a jelly (jello) for 4 or 5 seconds with a low rumble.

It certainly spooked me for a while and I got up for a coffee and watched Sky News to see what was going on. They didn't have any news yet so I went on the net to a football forum and in two minutes knew the full story as people from all over the UK said if they'd felt anything or not. Best laugh was the guy who said he was having a sh1t at the time

Whilst it was a very minor quake in global terms, the fact is was the strongest in the UK for 25 years means no one here is expecting them so it did frighten some people but other than one guy in Yorkshire, I've thankfully not heard of any injuries other than a few tiles falling of roofs.

Thanks to everyone who gave a damn about us :D

Brilliant interview with some young lass on BBC news...she said the quake woke her up coz her boyfriend fell out of bed....then went on to say its the only time the earth has moved for her ! ...he looked a little pi$$ed off at that!

didnae feel it up here in Bonny Scotland....or perhaps the wind, rain and bellowing of the wild Haggis drowned it out
