Post subject:  Customer Service

It seems a few people have been getting some shoddy service.

I have been let down just recently by BMW who up until this month had treated me like royalty.

But heres the thing - the world economy is in a huge mess and I for one want more service not less for my £/$ so its about time these companies think a little more about going the extra mile - I for one have demanded it from BMW and have moved my business to another BMW dealer.

You can cut costs but not service, everyone is a potential customer and as mentioned in other posts it is unwise to judge a book by its cover.

Sorry rant / tutorial over...

I know what you mean. I left my job last year at the local BMW dealer because they had completely dropped any kind of customer service and were only focused on the bottom line. They removed all the drinks and snacks (free stuff) from the customer waiting area, stopped the free pickup and deliveries of customer cars (even when out of towners who bought cars were promised a pickup when needed), had a 100% markup on parts, and gouging service customers on customer pay (non warranty) repairs. I spent 15 years at that place and many customers were my friends and I couldn't look them in the eye anymore. Complained to the dealership owners but they didn't care. Time to go.
