Just read a news story about a nice old chap whos got his priorities right. He lives in Sandbanks, Dorset, reportedly the fourth most expensive real estate in the world. He bought a house there 30 odd years ago for £60 thousand, and has just turned down an offer from developers for £10 million. He said he likes his house, he likes the area, and he likes being able to walk out of his back yard onto the beach and go swimming. A sandwich short of a picnic ? Or someone with a healthy take on this world we live in. |

Just a sandwich sort?? I think that bloke's missing the entire hamper if he didn't sell for £10m!!! I mean, sure, Sandbanks is nice enough, but 10 mill would probably buy him his own island somewhere where it doesn't rain everyday! |

I'd like to think I could do that, but not sure I could, but I understand him - but then I'm crazy enough to commute almost 100 miles each way every day to enjoy my 90 acres of lakefront living. Went on a school trip to Chesil Beach when I was a kid - nice part of the world for sure. |

I think the old chap's got his priorities right. Tell 'em to sod off and ruin another part of the country with ridiculous overdevelopment. There are few places left like that, and they're priceless. I say 'well done!' to him. |
