| Post subject: | Best Camera for the $ |
I have never been into photography. I just got one of those point and shoot sony cameras with the touch screen last summer. Well the screen is already busted. I am wondering what the best camera for the $ is. I would love to do some macro shots of my watch or great lume shots but mostly I want one to take everyday pictures and preserve memories. What do you guys suggest? |

I think most people will recommend what they bought! Buy a camera mag and look what suits your needs. Then try a few out in the stores. Buy what feels comfortable/simple to use. The difference between the major brands is minimal, at least for us amateur users. |

www.dpreview.com Fantastic resource, I use for all my camera purchases. For what its worth, I'm a big fan of Sony camera's, both professionally and personally. |
