I too enjoyed the movie. I'm a huge Sci-Fi nut in general. I know I'm opening myself to some serious ribbing, but here is a pic of my Star Wars "collectibles".

I enjoyed it too. I'm a big movie fan, but the old Star Trek movies always left me cold - all a bit too "sanitised" for my liking. I like my Sci Fi like Alien, Aliens, Event Horizon, Sunshine - i.e. a bit dark, mean and gritty!

So while the new Star Trek movie wasn't quite to that level of grittiness, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Even my g/f liked it too!
