I won the following auction on ebay:-
LOUIS VUITTON BRIEFCASE SUITCASE VINTAGE COTTEVILLE 50 - eBay Other Luggage, Luggage, Travel, Tickets Travel. (end time 22-Feb-09 10:11:13 AEDST)

IT WAS FOR A LOUIS VUITTON BRIEFCASE SUITCASE VINTAGE COTTEVILLE 50

The seller had 1) good photos, 2) over 200 Positives, 3) no recent negatives, 4) seemed honest.....

SO I PAID VIA PAYPAL..... AND......

ABSOLUTE FRAUD !!!!
Received parcel today - it was a box packed with plastic foam and a 3kg box of washing powder...... THIS IS FRAUD!
Item is supossed to be a Louis Vuiitton Suitcase - a few errors:-
1) the weight registered by the post office at sending was 3kg - a Louis Vuitton Suitcase weighs over 10kg! THEREFORE THE CORRECT ITEM WAS NEVER SENT!
2) the dimensions of the box used could not have ever contained the Louis Vuitton suitcase as it would not fit! IT IS TOO SMALL!

THIS IS FRAUD - I WANT AN IMMEDIATE REFUND

Received parcel today - it was a box packed with plastic foam and a 3kg box of washing powder...... THIS IS FRAUD!

Item is supposed to be a Louis Vuitton Suitcase - a few errors made by this fraudulent seller:-

1) the weight registered by the post office at sending was 3kg - a Louis Vuitton Suitcase weighs over 5kg! THEREFORE THE CORRECT ITEM WAS NEVER SENT!

2) the dimensions of the box used could not have ever contained the Louis Vuitton suitcase as it would not fit! IT IS TOO SMALL!

3) I rang the postal service in Australia – Australia Post. They confirm that if the item was opened by Customs the replacement sticky tape would be green with a serial number attached. They also indicated the item would have a letter attached inside the box. NO SUCH LETTER WAS INSIDE THE BOX and NO GREEN STICKY TAPE HAS BEEN USED.

4) The items description is a direct lift off from a Commercial web site.

I got a poor response from ebay suggestion I contact the seller to discuss the matter. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE! I RANG THE SELLER AND ADVISE ABOUT THE FRAUD ! SHE IMMEDIATELY HUNG UP ON ME AND REFUSES TO ANSWER THE PHONE SINCE! The seller is a CRIMINAL and deserves jail time for pulling this stunt. I expect the full support of Ebay and Paypal in getting my money refunded IMMEDIATELY. I only bought this item because of the PayPal guarantee ! Please organize my refund IMMEDIATELY.

You should have buyer protection through paypal. It's going to take a while to get your money but you should get it eventually.

Having the guy's IP address can be helpful too, as you can trace their ISP and I believe if there is a police investigation, they can have the ISP disclose the suscriber's info...

CAN I PLEASE HAVE THE FULL NAME AND ADDRESS OF THIS SELLER SO I CAN LODGE A POLICE COMPLAINT? I believe the seller was a VERIFIED seller so you should have the full name and address of this person. I wish to file an independant Police report and press for criminal charges to be laid.

Hello,
I am writing to you about a serious fraud - seller shipped a box of washing powder instead of the Louis Vuitton Suitcase as promised. Ebay # 230326644945. I have a current Paypal dispute open for this matter (which has been escalated).

I want to file POLICE CHARGES.

The ADDRESS AS SUPPLIED BY THE SELLER IS FALSE! The Kent Police (phone number +44 1622 690 055)in the UK have no such address on their books. THE ADDRESS IS FALSE.

Can ebay/paypal please supply me with the FULL NAME AND ADDRESS of the seller so I can press criminal charges against this fraudster. I want to press for criminal charges in additional to my refund via paypal (that I am seeking).

If you paid by CC then collect all of the data and call (and send in hard copies) of everything including emails and photos. Include the data about the real item, wt, size etc and get the cc card company to stop the payment.

I have to insist: If you have emails sent by this person, you have an IP address which could be used to trace him. Worth giving it a try!
