At ther risk of "Feeding The Beast" I would like comment on Archies posts and comments. It seems there are a lot of haters out there and I can see your point. His comments stir up emotions and creates debate. That's why I welcome his rants. Some of the best dialogue has ben the offspring of Archies "dark/dry" humorous posts. I believe BoneDoc said it best when he mentioned having a nemisis in order to have a hero (I know i'm paraphrasing badly).

Hey Archie- I have half a tub of vintage Oxyclean. I'll sell it to you for $200. PayPal only though :nana: :lingsrock:

Seriously though, I hope he is not banned as I look forward to the inevitable onslaught after all his posts.

No one has ever been banned from here for being controversial, and I think I can speak for admin in saying that no one will be.

I don't pretend to understand the drivers for some of the recent threads from Archie, but unless the posts go beyond acceptable standards of language, personal attacks, etc I don't want anyone to be banned, regardless of whether I agree with them or not.

That said, Archie clearly thrives on the controversy that he creates, and we do have a tendency to 'feed the beast'. I for one shall try and refrain from responding, as has been said when we get our occasional 'fake fan' on here - no one's going to change anyone's mind.

I agree with Roff on this 100%. Many "less liberal" site might've banned Archie by now (and apparently a few have!), but Admin is keen to play fair and for that I commend him and fully support him.

As I said earlier today on one of Archie's threads, 99.9% of his posts seem designed purely to elicit a strong response from people, so until Admin changes the rules about banning people for being controversial (which I'm pretty sure ain't gonna happen anytime soon folks!), I suggest everyone follows this simple rule - If someone posts something that you find controversial, don't "feed the beast" by replying. One way conversations can be pretty dull, especially for people who seek attention.

Thanks for your support! I appreciate the kind words and comments.

I think the best part about Archie's posts - no matter how insulting - is that deep down you know he is 100% right!
