well, in my book a Jensen Healey is about as exotic as it gets, a courageous choice and a beautiful car, congrats.

Oh, it's not a Jeep? :nana:

I've always loved the Defender, especially the short wheelbase. I find it very versatile, especially where I live. A friend of mine has the long wheelbase because of the family. And with the harsh winter we've had this year, it was the only 4x4 that was virtually hassle-free compared to the japanese makes. A real tool.

I also have a Camoflaged military 110 series III that was in the Gulf War. I prefer the Defender 90 wheelbase better. There is very few places my Defender can"t get to. Phenomenal off road vehicle.

I remember when I was at school (some years ago  ) my English teacher who was a New Zealander used to have a Land Rover Series I with a canvas roof, 1949 vintage. It had taken part in the Greek civil war just after WWII but it was still running fine some 30 years after that. I've even seen him literally in the sea with it. No other car at that time was able to compete. Pity the Brits stopped doing cars they were producing.

Fred I bet it pisses you off. But you have to consider the source. I owned a Jeep once and it lasted 6 years until it rusted in the ground. The rust was so bad the tail gate fell off while I was driving it. My wife had a burgandy Range Rover and she traded it for a Volvo C90. I guess that goes along with the Wildebeast watch she bought me. She lacks taste!!!!!!!!

I drive a BMW 320D 2009 (LCi-model) but since the new models were launched recently I'm seriously thinking about upgrading. The new models look so amazing!

If you're wondering about the diesel it's because 1 litre (1/4 gallon) costs about $2,2 here in Sweden. It's a real money saver with decent horsepower 176hp.
