I'm curious to know what straps everyone has. I had to buy a special deployant Breitling "short" strap for my Navi. It fits me perferctly, but if it were any longer, I'd have to cut some of the excess strap off.

I'm not a strap guy, and the bracelets on my two lings fit fine. On the Pro II, though, I took out the maximum number of links I could and still have the clasp centered opposite the watch head. If I went any smaller, the "bias" of the bracelet would have been off.

However, it seems that only sharkman and I ever talk about the special sized girly straps. Is everyone else getting by with standard lengths?

That's because you and I are the only guys secure enough in our masculinity!

At 6&3/4 a regular will just fit.

While I'm at it, this is a dumb idea for a thread. :poke: (poking arm to scale)

Agreed on all accounts.

I am actually buying a New Avenger tomorrow and I have already had the AD size the Bracelet for me this past Saturday, he removed 3 links. I have also decided to get the rubber strap with deployment buckle but have not had a chance to size it.

I have two straps for my Navi - black and brown OEM leather on tang, although I'm about to add a deployment to the mix just to try it out. My straps are standard and I have had no issues with the length, although I am heading towards the last one or two holes I must admit.

I get by with a standard strap on my Navi. Any bigger and it would have some slack, but much smaller and it would be pretty tight when my wrists swells in the Texas heat. (Going on over 20 days in a row of 100 degree heat)

Eventually I am going to spring for a couple of OEM crocco straps, and I am tempted by the deployant set-up, but I worry that all that leather and a clasp will actually be less comfortable than the standard. The tang and buckle might just be perfect for me.

@ JS: Trust me, I am embarrassed to post that number. Botox sure is sounding good right about now. At present, 42mm is the largest I can go which explains why I've been looking at the Monty for my next watch, at 38mm it should sit flawlessly on my wrist.

@ bozman52: I also use the standard croco straps with the standard Breitling deployant and it seems to work fine. My wrist are rather "bony and flat" so the extra little bit of slack in the strap wraps around under me wrist and fills out the little gap there. So it works out...don't know if my lousy explanation will make sense to you guys...

im almost a seven inch wrist but im 5ft 6 and weight 71.5 kgs

my daughter 11 is a 6.5 inch wrist and i just tried my SA on her wow its looks big ...

that's why i wonder on on the tang buckle for smaller wrists, for a watch like the SA BS that only comes on the tang , it wont fit you , so then you will have to go push button deployment in black steel $$$, which then makes the watch non factory , will warranty be effected at service time ???

Jeff

1/2 " makes a very big difference. 6.5" usually maxes out at 43-44mm, depending on the only measurement that really matters - lug end to lug end. 53mm L to L is the limit for me. The 43-44mm models I have all come in right around 52mm.

I don't understand the rest though - you can always have an extra hole punched even in a rubber strap and use the BS tang. Or even if you went with an after-market clasp, Breitling doesn't care about that. And if they did, you can send just the watch head in for service.

No problem for me for the croco deployant strap. Had to cut 2 "pieces" from my OR though. Fits perfectly since then.
