Looking forward to the start of play in the next couple of days. Go Australia! Great move putting in Lehmann despite the short timeframe. As long as the batters bat and the bowlers bowl, the coach doesn't need to do all that much. Sorting out the off-field discipline is what we need and is what he'll be good at. It's going to be a cracking series. I wonder which Pieterson will turn up.

Looks like the Aussie's have chucked Ashton Agar in at the deep end. Nathen Lyon to miss out ?. Bit of a risk with only 10 first class games under his belt. Looks overcast, might be a good toss to lose with Anderson's record at Nottingham. One hour to go. Best of luck to both teams :!: *

* Except Australia !!!

I'm gonna own this. I made the bold prediction to the wife the other day: Australia to win the series 2:1. I may end up regretting it. But still...

Well maybe 385-2 eh :lol:

edit - or 385-3 :roll:

Let's hope that it's the wicket, 3 down straight after lunch isn't looking too good.

I think only Cook was really culpable, fishing at a wide one having been disciplined hitherto. The bowling has been inconsistent but the other three got out to good balls, Root done by a fast yorker, KP had to play at an off-stump delivery which nipped away off the seam, Trott inside-edged a good length ball. A good contest anyway.

Not an ideal start, but then it was always going to happen after all the talk of it being a potential whitewash series.

Yep, Siddle is already getting into their heads. 300 may be a dream now.

Just logged in to see the score; sucks with the reverse hours over here. I will certainly take 4/152 on the first day of play, particularly with Pieterson removed. Got a good feeling about this one! Clarke to score 500.

It's getting worse now at 213-9. Still, we have to see how the Aussies bat yet.

Not sure what the weather forecast is, but if it's not awful then looks like someone is going to take a 1-0 lead.
