@Sharkmouth - no stellas or other alcoholic drinks were involved. If they were it might not have hurt so much!

@Alan - I'm sure I can hold a pint in my left hand. It's just driving that i cant do very well at the mo!

I could always swing by and pick you up you know.............................

Thanks for that Ian! Very apt, both in terms of the get well soon line, but also for me being a muppet to do it in the first place!

Thanks gents, I really appreciate it. , but I'm going to have to duck out of this one. Problem is that as my hand's not in plaster I'm very wary about drinking any "falling-over-juice" in case I knock it and hamper the healing. Not sure I can hack brushing my teeth with my left hand for any more time than is strictly necessary! (Think "rabid 3 year old", and you'll get an idea of what seeing me clean my teeth using my left hand looks like!)

:woohoo: I had my consultant check-up today, and no surgery is required on my hand! :woohoo: :D

Another four weeks to be healed, (and three months to be fully back to normal  ), but after a couple more weeks I'll be able to start using it properly again. (No jokes please gents! )

Congrats D8, that's good news. Your right hand/arm will be functional again, so less scratches for your watch on your left, right?

My aunt just broke her index finger and I was reminded of this thread. How's the healing Driver? Can you drive properly yet?

Thanks H2F. Yes it's coming on OK fortunately. It's out of the strapping now (4 weeks since the break) and as long as I'm careful and don't try to do anything like pull-ups for a while, I'm OK to use it. Yesterday was the first day I was able to drive my car completely normally - it was a great feeling!

Hope your aunts finger heals quickly as hand injuries are more hampering than you imagine.

Hope it fixes fast and properly!
