Absolutely LOVE it. Like a good mixture of a nice beer but as smooth and creamy as Guinness... what more could you ask for....

I'll do cocktails, a beer if that's what everyones having, same for wine, but I'm a single malt guy:

Regular: Macallan 12 or Fine Oak 10, or Talisker 10

Splurge: Glenmorangie Nectar D'or, Quanta Ruban; Talisker 18
The local Total Wine sometimes has some great deals on off-label items. I stockpiled some Glenlivet 22 which they had under the Battlehill label for $79.

For me Its all about wine! I absolutly love Pinot Noir/Burgundy best red wine on the planet and goes great with all sorts of food. Love white wines as well. German whites are great and usally cheap. I will admit that I am a bit bias because I work in the California wine industry so I feel I need to promote the region. If people like Cali Pinot it gets no better than the Sonoma Coast. If anybody needs info on the region just PM me and I will be happy to make suggestions on the N. California wine scene.

When I'm not drinking wine its cocktails. My goto is a Manhattan or a Nigroni. I usally prefer simple classic cocktails.

OP I think this is a good web site that covers wine and spirits reviews. http://wineandspiritsmagazine.com/ also another good magazine that mainly cover what new spirits are being released is http://www.tastingpanelmag.com/ this mag gives good coverage on new and old brands.

A wise man once said "It takes alot of good beer to make great wine"!

Spoken like a true Englishman  .... and a true Northerner at that! Good choices of ales BTW. My favourites are good old Fuller's London Pride, Orkney Brewery Dark Island, Sharpe's Doom Bar, Fuller's Discovery (for the summer), Fuller's London Porter, and Fuller's Brewer's Reserve. (Bit of a Fuller's trend there!)

Well being an English ex pat I still have a hankering for good English beer when I can find it, anything from Boddingtons to Ruddles County...

Roff, I always thought you were a Canadian lol

I'm more of a beer guy, Corona, Bud, Carlsberg.

This time of year I do like a Pimm's or a Mojito whilst basking in the sun after work in Canary Wharf too.

If I'm out partying, it's grey goose and jagermeisters for me

I can eat a half gallon container in one sitting.

I'm usually just a beer guy. I'm drinking this as I type. I'll drink gin and tonic at weddings etc.

90% of my alcohol intake is wine, almost always red, big cabs are my favorite, i dont think i get any happier than having a big porterhouse and some stags leap artemis and im all smiles.
