Thats the cheapest I can find.

How is it I've gone from not really wanting to spend anymore than a couple of hundred pound to spending over 3 hundred quid??

Alex, I blame you!

Cheers

:wowzers Andie, that's a cool piece of equipment you've chosen

Cheers, blame Alex!!

One things for sure it wouldn't matter how cool/good the barbecue is I'll still be giving people food poisoning with my very unhygenic approach too barbecueing!

Cheers

Well I ended up getting the Webber Performer on Alex's reccomendation  £300 well spent! Tried it out last night and the BBQ was fantastic, easy to use, no hassle lighting coals, plenty of space for working and the food was awesome.

Cheers

That's great Andie, you've chosen the perfect tool and I hope you'll have many years of fun....and great steaks.

Is it the one with gas ignition but WITH coals?

Yip, thats the one. It was so easy to work, just loaded on the coals and fired up the gas for 3 or 4 minutes and that seemed to do the trick.

The gas cannister is the same as this http://www.keengardener.co.uk/product/v ... edium=base Its quite small so not sure how many times I'll use it before I need another.

Have to say its well worth the money even at £300. Its well built and looks very robust so hopefully will last for a few years. Most of the reviews of BBQ's that I read recommended Weber so I think the correct decision was made.

I actually tried a couple of steaks but had them on for too long so they were a bit chewy. I'll try them 'blue' next time :D

Cheers

That's the only way to go with steaks. The extreme limit is maybe rare.

Haha, no chance! I'm a medium-rare man myself, I think blue would be just a bit too far. You can't beat a steak with a bit of blood ruuning out the side. :D

Cheers
