It was a great game indeed and a wonderful capstone to the Olympics. Naturally, I would have loved to see the Americans win . . . since I'm American. However, as some have mentioned, hockey does not get the respect it deserves in the States, similar to Formula 1. That being said, I think the win means MUCH more to the Canadians, so on some level, I'm actually really happy they won. I'm mostly happy we got to see a good game for the gold medal, though.

A great game and I was happy with the result (not that I really cared either way ). A brilliant effort for the US to draw level with a minute to go and a great individual goal at the end to win the game for Canada. Nice and close, which is just the way you want the final to be.

I don't quite know what to do with myself tonight with the Olympics all done Thoroughly enjoyed most of it and well done to Canada for hosting and being so successful!

I was shocked with the USA's success in the alpine skiing. Bode and Vaughn did really well. I was a little disappointed in Utahn Ted Legity. Oh well it is what it is. In terms of Crosby the kid is legit. I am a Caps fan so I naturally hate him....huge OVIE fan though.

One of my first hockey game was the awesome 4-3 win of the Americans against the Soviets back in 1980. I love this sport ever since. Isn't it the fastest game on earth? So this year's gold medal game was the ideal one. And a nice revenge for the Canadians after the two last losses against the Russians. I watched the game from Greece and even my friends over there who knew practically nothing of the sport loved the game. Pity there had to be a winner. Both teams deserved the gold, even though I was glad the Canadians won. Especially for some players whose this was the last chance to win an Olympic gold. The American team was much younger, they will have another chance if they keep playing like that.
