Have you ever been curious to what your internet speeds are? I just got done moving and setting up the new internet connection. My old setup was the entry level service at 5000 kb/s. Now I'm averaging 29717 kb/s and maxing out at 42430 kb/s.

The north american average is 5054. California's is 9273. While the global average is 4444.

Japan has the highest average at 16203 kb/s.

As far as continental averages are concerned:
North America: 5054
Europe: 4963
Australia: 4106
Asia: 2479
South America: 1353
Africa: 887

So let's see what everyone else is getting. Can anyone top 42430 at home?

the URL to test it out is:

http://www.speedtest.net/index.php

The site also ranks you. I'm faster than 98% of global connections and 97% of American internet connections.

btw, upload speeds are always lower. My average is 3807.

Come on what are your stats!

Excellent!

We have technicians coming out of Friday to rewire the whole house. It turns out we have some crappy RJ59's run to all 6 outlets :?

Those are some pretty good speeds guys!

My connection is ETTS. (ethernet to the suite) and i get HD+ SD IPTV for 2 streams and 25M highspeed.

8M+3M+25= close but no cigar.

22309 download
2054 upload

I remember reading a couple of years ago that the Japanese are getting ready to install high speed internet so fast that when downloading data through it the hard disks were too slow to process all the information. :P

Quit whining!

Now I'll freely admit that I live in the middle of nowhere, home of no high speed access, but.......

Download - 40 (yes, 40)
Upload - 137

It's a pretty small upload, probably just didn't 'settle'.

I always thought my connection was fast but looking at some others I seem to be going backwards :D
