Awesome day at the Olympics!! I don't get patriotic very often, but the Team GB guys and girls today have done us proud. Some amazing performances.

Also, so-long Michael Phelps. End of an era, and farewell to the greatest Olympian of all time.

Yep, we from the colonies have to give full credit to team GB this Olympics. Normally as an Aussie i take full delight in beating the motherland. But over the past five years or so we have been well and truly humbled by you guys in a range of sports. More power to you. It's been great to watch.

It's always nice to beat the Aussie's at anything, from a game of cards to the Olympic games. even nicer to see them two golds behind the Kiwi's............

It was a great dy for GB yesterday. My sister won tickets in the lottery for the morning session in the athletics stadium and says that it was an amazing atmosphere. Obviously didn't see the medals as that was later in the day but sounds like she had a great day and it's nice to see Britain do well. Looks like more to come as I type this watching Murray 2 sets up.

The 1,2 finish of Farah and Rupp in the 10,000 meter yesterday was particularly moving. Gave me some warm-fuzzies to think about the US and Britain's "special" relationship.

You plucky Brits have done quite a good job of hosting so far, and holding your own on the podium.

I envy you!! I couldn't turn the TV off. She's even more attractive than Pippa who I think is pretty damn amazing.
