Going to get me one of these through work but can't make up my mind, any thoughts, good or bad?

Cheers

I have the bb curve and the iphone.... You cant really compare in my opinion.
the bb is more of a business oriented device, it has everything you need. But the iphone is stylish, fast and versatile. It is however hard to type long emails. You just dont have the fingertip feeling you have with a keyboard like on the bb.... So iguess its just about taste

oh and also, the browser on the iphone is fantastic :)[*]

I had multiple BBs over teh years. Got an iPhone 2 years ago, I do not know how I ever lived without this thing. What is most notable is the speed and ability to never crash or freeze up. With the BBs, I froze that bugger up requiring a reboot, twice a week. Has never happened with the iPhone. I admit the keyboard takes some acclimating, but once you get it (about 2 weeks) it is simple. The autocorrect is quite good too. I am not a Mac user either, so this opinion does not come from someone who has religiously imbibed the Kool-aid. I will never go back to anything else.

IMO the BBerry is way better. I really can't stand the keyboard on the iPhone. Too many errors, too much hassle to type something longer than 60 characters. I text and e-mail entirely too much to putz around with "auto correct" software.

That being said, the browsing experience on the iPhone cannot be beat. It's super fast and recreates the full browsing experience. This is the only category that BlackBerry falls short.

Blackberry for me. For work I need to be able to type long emails, and I hate touch screens. Plus the iphone is just too big to be comfortable in a suit pocket (Blackberry is not ideal for this but it's less of a handbag phone if you ask me :poke: )

Depends on what you're going to be using it for. I have an iphone now and I'll never have anything else. It's superfast, brilliant with email and internet and the texting does become easier after a short time.

The blackberry's are great for work but not much else IMO plus they drop out all the time which becomes very frustrating.

Talking isn't a strength of either one of them although they're both fine. Pros and cons for both. Good luck!

The iPhone has to be one of my all time best purchases. I'm a gadget junky and this thing is great. I love being able to get to all of my emails, weather, research in an instant, and the forums...there is no other option in my opinion.
My two pennies.

Posted from my iPhone. :D

Just wondering, how come you think that the iPhone is worse to carry in your suit pocket compared to the Blackberry? The two are close to identical in size and weight :poke: ;)

As for the topic: I would go for the iPhone, never had a better smart phone :D

For business, BB.

Everything else, iPhone. Especially if u consider the many many many apps useful, useless, generic, specialized and everything in between available for the iPhone.

Most of my posts here were done right on my iPhone. Take pictures of my watch using the iPhone camera (nice large screen & v good closeup for the 3GS), tweak it with Photogene for the iPhone (adjust contrast, crop, sharpen), upload using Photobucket app for iPhone, open browser (I prefer iCab Mobile for iPhone, rather than the built-in Safafi Mobile Browser), paste links, write a review & post!

Since the 3.0 firmware which allows landscape keyboard, copy/cut/paste, I have very few complains abt entering text on the iPhone. Of course it's also the equivalent of a video iPod (load up a few cartoons -- great to entertain my kids when we have to wait in line), and actually a very decent gaming device!

One drawback: the beautiful, bright, large screen sucks up battery juice like there is no tomorrow! (Get extra chargers for the car & office).

Finally, very good resale value if ur not happy with it...

iPhone seems bigger to me, not by much, but the BB is already bigger than I would prefer so a little extra makes a big difference.

Anyway, for me it's a work phone, and my number 1 requirement is that it's good with email. I don't really have any need for a web browser in my work. I'll freely concede the browser in the iPhone is streets ahead.

I can accept that anytime, we all have our preferences :) I was only mocking with you, no hard feelings I hope.

I do believe that the Blackberry is a very good smart phone but personally I just can not come to terms with the keyboard. Anyways, both models are good at what they do and so what it really comes down to is personal preferences as earlier written :)
