My wife and I decided last night to book a last minute trip to Bahamas, leaving this Sunday. We thought about staying at the The Cove at Atlantis, but in the end, we couldn't resist taking advantage of the deal that I could get at the Sheraton Nassau.

I did a search on here, and it seems like a number of members have been down there. Any suggestions on sites to see, things to avoid, and most importantly - where to dine and drink?

I'll also be certain to poke my head into the Little Switz Breitling Boutique. But, based on a number of postings in here, doesn't seem like I'll doing any shopping there due to lack of deals.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

The Breitling Boutique is pretty cool. Just look for the yellow awning. Unless they've changed since I was there last year, it's not that big and you could miss it. The inside is really nice. The sales woman I dealt with was very friendly and not as pushy as most Caribbean ADs were that I experienced.

I was only there for a few hours during a cruise so I didn't see much besides Bay Street.

I flew there on the old Chalk's seaplane back in 1981. Stayed at Lowes Harbour Cove on Paradise Island directly opposite where they land!

Can't believe anything is still the same after all this time but highlights for me were looking for somewhere to eat and wandering into someone's kitchen thinking it was a restaurant and being invited to stay for peas 'n' rice by the family! And a pink Cadillac driven by a Huggy Bear lookalike picking us up from the Playboy casino

Have a great vacation!
