on my money market account ( bank savings) NOT a fund. Overnight it dropped from 3.15% to 2.60%. Bankrate had it as the highest return on Tuesday. Bankrate is a bank rating service as well as rating their MMAs and CDs. I still find it interesting that on-line watch dealers still refuse to drop their prices in the face of reality. Even the mil and bil aren' t buying at this time. :(

Interest rates in the UK are the lowest since the Bank of England was founded.

and have been for over 5 years. Fortunately all of my pensions are from the US government, and each received a 5.8% cost-of-living raise (COLA).

Although if you have a mortgage you should refinance to an exceptionally low rate...if you're renting, well now's as good a time as any to get into owning property!

I had a mortgage deal that ran out in, I think, September. Since then, my monthly payments have just kept going down and down! I'm looking to move soon so should still benefit :)
