OK guys. Let us some respect for each other, and also give Admin and the moderators the respect that they so well deserve.
I believe that if anyone is going to be banned from here, the right to even suggest that should be reserved for the Admin. or Moderators.
This is probably the finest forum I have ever been a member of, not just for watches, but for everything. I have never had so much pleasure from chatting in any forum as I have had here. I would really like to keep it that way.
If any of us have comments about any of the other members, there are a lot more discreet ways of handling that than making a posting.

Yes it is a good forum - just imagine how it will look if Archie42 keeps spamming it with crap.

Have a look at some of his posts - the man is a menace! Sure, he might seem OK for a few days, but then the weird stuff will come out again.

If left unchecked, eventually the few remaining contributors to the forum will be confronted by a dozen Archie42 posts each day until they too decide it's no longer a cool site....

Better to euthanize this bozo now, nice & clean.

Rest assured guys, we're always keeping half an eye on all forum posts and if people overstep the mark in some way, then that's the point that action may need to be taken.

This place has always been pretty chilled out and relaxed, and I'm sure I speak for most people when I say that I for one would like it stay that way. We've always tried to keep mods to a minimum as differing opinions are what forums thrive on. However, controversial or inflamatory posts designed purely to elicit a certain kind of response from the membership are not the kind of thing we want to encourage, so let's all just be aware of that.

I could tell everyone I had a dozen of the most expensive and sought after Breitlings but what would be the point - just kidding myself.

I, for one, will be more careful of whom I take notice - that's for sure.

As a logistical matter, only admin can ban users, and that's the way it should be, but Driver8 and I can, and will, delete inappropriate posts / topics.

This should be in off topic, but let's leave it here for the eyeballs.

However I am going to lock it after saying just one more thing - and I would encourage everyone who cares about this place to take it to heart.




On Friday I posted that I had had some phone conversations about our proposed LE. No decision has yet been taken because it will be made at the senior level by someone who is currently travelling on Breitling business.

That person will have lots of advisers make recommendations and those advisors, and quite possibly the decision makers will review this site to ensure that we are aligned with the values of Breitling.

If the decision is that we are then that will likely be reviewed frequently, if the decision is that we are not then we will be tagged as inappropriate for ever.

It's really down to us now - this is a friendly place and as admin, Driver8 and I have all said in recent days, we are going to keep it that way. Anyone who doesn't agree had best find somewhere else.

This is not a power-tripping, ego-enflating forum. We don't ban people for being different, and we certainly don't single out people by creating threads to embarass them and ridicule them. This is unacceptable and childish behaviour.

Like Roff said, this place is a friendly place - lets keep it that way.
