Hi

I am looking at buying some Bose Headphones OE2 in white form my bose store. But what is the difference between £10 headphones and Bose £120 Headphones. Are they worth buying and do they make music sound better and what are the quality like. if you could help me out with my decision and advice. Thank you very much. :D

Well I wouldn't be buying Bose if my budget was GBP120 for a start.

I could write reams on why better headphones make music sound better, but you will be far better just going into an audio store and trying some out. A decent store will let you try anything up to and including the $3,000 cans and you'll be able to judge for yourself. You also need to consider the source of your music - low quality mp3s aren't going to sound good through any cans.

I think Bose do some products well, I'm on my second pair of QC2 noise cancelling headphones and my wife has QC3s. I wouldn't travel without them. On the ground though I use Grados.

Worth is a relative thing, if you've got very good ears and listen to a lot of personal music then you may find spending four figures on headphones is worth it. If you're looking for a pair to go running in then it is less likely to.

Agree completely, and I'll confess to having custom IEMs that are well into four figures, but at GBP120 - $200 give or take, I would still not be buying Bose - that's solid if not spectacular Sennheiser / Shure territory and to my ears the sound of those is better. I've had bad quality experiences with Sennheiser but know a lot of people who will swear by them.

I have the QC2's for airplane use only. Other than that I have a decent pair of Shure ear buds for everything else. If you travel a lot by plane I would recommend Bose noise cancelling headphones.

I have Bose earbuds, I think they were $140 - the are decent, nothing really noticeably different than the ones that came with the iPod. My reason for buying them was the plastic thing on the earbuds, they don't fall out of my ears when working out.
