Beautiful planes to fly in... these days we always change our flight times around to ensure we're on an A380 rather than a 747, much more comfortable :-)

Well, let's put it this way : it maybe a damn fine plane when the wing rib feet (the metal brackets that connect the wing's ribs to its skin) will be fixed and current flying A380s willl be repaired. Provided, of course, that no more problems arise.

@ Dr J Comfort and available room on the A380 depends exclusively on the airline operating the aircraft. You can get plenty of room and a private shower like, for example, on Emirates or a layout of 850 seats on Air Austral. As for the 747s, they are gradually retired and replaced by the more efficient 777. Few airlines have chosen the new 747-8 in its passenger version, like Korean or Lufthansa, which was the launch customer.
