I have been anticipating the X100 ever since it was announced at Photokina, and I hate the fact that the KSA is going to be one of the last countries to get stock :( SO I had to get in line at Amazon's preorder list. Sigh.

If you are wondering what an X100 is, it is a digital mid size camera, styled after older range finders such as the Leica M3, with premium prime lens and internals housed in a fantastically built metal and leather body. I am sick of those plasticy cheap compacts, and this looks like a great travel and street camera! Fuji have been trying to gain market share and this is yet another attempt, and a great one at that! I love the tactile feedback from mechanical cameras and the flexibility and features of digital, best of both worlds!

Even the packaging is out of this world, the camera comes in a leather box ala JLC watches and nestled in a bed of velvet.

If anyone happens to see this lying around in a retail outlet please let me know which one!!!

Great cam. I read about it in this blog. http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2011/05/0 ... teve-huff/

I'am a Leica man myself but I like this one very much.

Congrats, great buy Altair.

Can't wait to see the targets shot with it.
