I saw a link for this ad on a local weather website. The services offered sound potentially reasonable (clipping and "hair removal"), until you see the tools used: a twin blade razor, a personal trimmer, and shaving gel. You bring your own witch hazel. Seriously? For $30 - $60 an hour? Unreal.

Just so we're clear here, I'm NOT promoting this. I'm posting it purely for entertainment purposes. If you're local and actually want to seek this person out for business, that's your funeral.

The other day I was listening to my morning talk radio show like I do every morning.... The topic was similar to this however for the ladies.

They call it "vagazil"... The shaping, trimming, coloring etc of girls privates to virtually any objects such as fruit or shapes. I had to laugh and think people actually do this?! :wowzers :uplaugh:

I'm all for keeping well groomed "down there," but I've never understood the desire to use said area as a canvas for artistic expression. As far as I'm concerned, people - men and women alike - have accomplished something if they've prevented theirs from looking scary.

I believe Jennifer Love Hewitt was the one advertising this too on the air.... which isn't too bad I guess! :D
I was still amazed to hear this was serious.

It's called vajazzling - derived from Bedazzling. It's applying little Swarovski crystals to "the little lady"* in decorative patterns, although I don't see why other reflective elements can't be used. The area has to be waxed first, so hair patterns are perforce not part of the equation. I had seen Love Hewitt talk it about it on Chelsea Lately a few months back, but I'd forgotten about it until you mentioned her. Here's a clip (safe for work). Talk of vajazzling starts around 1:50. I'll amend my above comment. While I think trimming patterns is silly, vajazzling actually sounds kinda hot.

*Love Hewitt's term, not mine.

I suppose it beats a merkin-- semi-worksafe link; it's Wiki, but it has some... Well, some images.

I can only imagine the 'vajazzling' process, it sounds absolutely terrifying. Surely that's not an area anyone would risk hot glue in? I mean, there's a landing strip and there's a lighted runway...

Mixing hair and crystals in the design is just gauche.

I was kind of implying the latter was a step too far. ...That said, er, 'different strokes', and all that... :p

First off, Manscaping is a must. Noboby likes a '70s bush. But it is an in-house job. I will not be taking by package to the local stylist for a trim any time soon. I don't trust anyone with sharp objects down there.

As to vajazzling, I've only seen one in the flesh. She had a little butterfly in all white crystals. It caught me a little off guard at first, but I have to admit... I thought it was pretty hot.
